Complian, operated by COMPLIAN AI LTD (Company No. 17181330, England and Wales), provides regulatory gap-analysis and horizon-scanning tools for informational purposes only. The platform maps publicly available primary legislation against the compliance profile and evidence you declare or upload, and produces reports in which claims are cited to the underlying statutory text.

2. No Legal or Regulatory Advice

All content generated by or accessed through Complian — including AI summaries, obligation extractions, gap analyses, compliance assessments, and drafted policy documents — is provided for informational purposes only. Nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice, regulatory advice, or any other form of professional advice.

You must not rely on any content generated by Complian as a substitute for obtaining advice from qualified legal counsel or other appropriately qualified professionals. You are solely responsible for independently verifying all information against original source documents before taking any action.

3. AI-Generated Content

Complian uses large language models to generate content. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. The AI models used by Complian have knowledge cutoffs and may not reflect the most current regulatory developments. You must always verify AI-generated content against the original regulatory publications referenced.

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Ensuring that your use of Complian complies with applicable laws and regulations
• Maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
• Ensuring you have the right to upload any evidence document you submit, and that uploads do not include special category personal data unless strictly necessary for the assessment
• Any decisions made on the basis of content accessed through Complian

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Complian's liability to you for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with your use of the platform shall be limited to the total fees paid by you in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Complian shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, regulatory fines, reputational damage, or legal costs, whether or not Complian has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

6. Intellectual Property

Original content created by Complian's AI systems in response to your inputs is licensed to you for your internal use. Regulatory publications aggregated from third-party sources remain the property of their respective owners and are provided subject to their original licensing terms.

7. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes. Your continued use of Complian following notice of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
